Global Idea Exchange

This season, we exchanged ideas with 15 teams across 13 countries on robot strategies and outreach efforts via a series of online meetings. We learned a lot from this experience while sharing our experiences to help out other teams as well!

Students4Stem, our NPO

We host monthly robotics-related community events through our nonprofit, Students4Stem. This season, we've accumulated 600+ hours and exposed 2500+ individuals to the joy of robotics.

ANNUAL Spring Robotics Camp

@ Himalaya Academy

We collaborated with Himalaya Academy to host a LEGO robotics camp over spring break. Each day, we introduced an engineering principle or concept reinforced by the LEGO mechanism building project that followed.

ANNUAL Summer FLL Bootcamp

We hosted a bootcamp for those interested in or currently participating in FLL to learn how to design and program robots for the FLL competition. In 2024 FLL Bootcamp, we met the teams we currently mentor & raised over $1000.

FLL Mentorships

We currently mentor team #66280 Deltabots. Under our guidance, they achieved the Rising Star award for rookies at their first qualifier.

Robot Showcase @ AHS with PLTW (Engineering) Club

We hosted a FTC robot showcase to 60+ attendees in collaboration with American High School’s Engineering Club. We invited other teams in our school to join us in presenting our robots and the FTC season challenge, including Alphabots, Blizzard, and Maximum Overdrive.

ANNUAL Sporting Event fundraiser

We maintained a partnership for 2 years with our community’s annual sporting event, raising $900 this season through selling snacks and presenting the FIRST program with posters while customers waited for orders.

We worked with Green Grass Learning Center, using their venue for a showcase, selling over 200 tickets to the event. We presented about FLL/FTC and simulated a real game using our robot from the CenterStage season. We had side activities such as a raffle, a LEGO robot building station, and food/drinks.

Robot Station @ Scout-O-Rama 

We held a robot demo at Scout-O-Rama, a major Boy Scouts event. We received hundreds of attendees throughout the day and worked with #9614 Hyperion to demonstrate our robots, explaining the FIRST program to interested viewers and setting up a LEGO building activity.

Foothill College Science Expo

We collaborated with 8404 Quixilver to demonstrate and present our previous season’s robots at a science expo.

Presentation @ Seyond

At Seyond, we presented our journey through FIRST and demonstrated our previous season’s robot, gaining a mentor through this experience.
